Fred Simmons, a small town Tae Kwon Do instructor, struggles with his ego and power after his wife Suzie leaves him for her new boss. He becomes increasingly abusive and loses students, but finds new allies in Julio and Henry. The group embarks on a pilgrimage to meet their idol, Chuck "The Truck" Wallace, at a Tae Kwon Do convention, where they party and convince "The Truck" to perform a demo at Fred's school. Inspired, Fred returns home only to face an unexpected turn of events when Suzie returns and "The Truck" arrives in town. In the end, Fred must confront his own power and find inner strength.
