American singer-songwriter John Murry, on the brink of stardom after his acclaimed album The Graceless Age, hit rock bottom after becoming addicted to heroin. He fled to Ireland, but now he's ready to confront his demons: a difficult childhood, traumatic assault, and years of opioid addiction. The documentary follows John on a road trip from Ireland to Mississippi, where he faces his past and ultimately finds redemption through music with the help of Canadian music legend Mike Timmins.
