In 1960s Korea, a piano teacher named Mr. Kim is beset by scandal when a love letter from a student, Miss Kwak, is misinterpreted, leading to her suspension. Meanwhile, Mr. Kim's family is struggling to adjust to their new home and the demands of his wife's work. In an attempt to alleviate the workload, Mr. Kim hires a new housemaid, introduced by his private student Miss Kyung Hee Cho. However, the housemaid's erratic behavior and subsequent seduction of Mr. Kim lead to a series of devastating consequences, ultimately destroying the Kim family's life.
