Patty and Sarah Goodwin, a popular and outcast stepsister duo, join the university and pledge different sororities. Patty is accepted into the prestigious Alpha Nu Sigm, while Sarah is forced to join the unpopular Phi Epsilon Delta. Sarah befriends Alberta "Mouse" and gets close to professor Paul Yates, who reveals Mrs. Hunter, the Phi Epsilon Delta leader, has a dark past involving the occult. As Sarah's telekinetic and psychic abilities grow, Mrs. Hunter seeks to exploit them to destroy Alpha Nu Sigm.
