Los Japón is a comedy that starts with a tragedy: the death of Emperor Satohito without an heir. The Japanese government searches for a descendant and finds Hasekura Tsunenaga, who traveled to Spain in 1614 and married a local woman. The investigation leads to Paco Japón, a 40-year-old Sevillian syndicalist, who is reluctant to accept the throne. After some persuasion, Paco and his family move to Tokyo to assume his new role as Emperor. However, Paco struggles to learn Japanese language and customs, while his family faces their own challenges.
