For three decades, the Bishop Fred Jones family has entertained on the southern gospel circuit, largely unknown to those outside the Pentecostal faith. However, when the Bishop decided to take his family's musical ministry beyond the church, he surprisingly found an unexpected ally in a jaded, atheist rock critic who also happened to be a gospel historian.

Bishop Fred Jones and his family have spent 30 years performing on the southern gospel circuit, largely confined to the Pentecostal community. Despite opposition from many within his faith, the Bishop made the bold decision to share his talents with a wider audience.
