A wealthy L.A. image consultant, Russ Duritz, approaches 40 feeling cynical, alone, and disconnected from his childhood. His life takes an unexpected turn when he discovers a mysterious 8-year-old boy named Rusty, who bears an uncanny resemblance to him. As Russ and Rusty embark on a journey to uncover the defining moment of his past, they are accompanied by two long-suffering women: Russ's secretary Janet and his assistant Amy, who has caught Rusty's eye.
