Thirteen-year-old Sylvester Coddmeyer III, also known as SYL, has a deep passion for baseball, inherited from his father, a former player and current middle school coach. Despite his dedication, SYL struggles to excel on the field. Just when he's about to give up, a mysterious coach helps him transform into a star player, earning him fame, free merchandise, and even an invitation to showcase his skills in the Major League. However, SYL's newfound confidence is put to the test when he discovers his coach is actually the spirit of Babe Ruth, leaving him to wonder if he can win the League Championship without his guidance.
