The Last Musketeer background

The Last Musketeer

A cattle trader and a water seer join forces to take on a ruthless rancher who holds the key to the region's water supply, exploiting desperate farmers with exorbitant fees.

Rex Allen, a cattle buyer, arrives in Taskerville and discovers two men brutally treating Slim Pickens, a water diviner hired by local ranchers. Rex pursues the wagon to Lem Shaver's barn, where Slim reveals that wealthy rancher Russ Tasker is exploiting the valley's water supply, bankrupting the local ranchers. Tasker's henchmen kill Matt Becker and brand his son Johnny an outlaw, but Rex suspects the real reason is the Beckers' discovery of a hidden water source. With Slim and Johnny's love interest Sue, Rex uncovers the connection between the Becker spring and Tasker's protected reservoir, only to be arrested for helping Johnny.
