Tommy Neville, a young millionaire, runs away from home as his parents prepare for a divorce. A private detective assigned to watch him reports him kidnapped, leading Mrs. Neville to suspect her husband. Unbeknownst to her, Tommy is actually selling newspapers in another city. He's attacked by a bully, but rescued by gangster Terry Mallon and his daughter Kitty, who take him to their beach home.
