The iconic Molly's Reach diner in Gibsons, BC is set to be demolished by its part owner, Chuckchee Properties, despite protests from locals. The diner's ownership is split between Donna McGonigal and Chuckchee, with Donna's father Dave McGonigal, a shady character, owning the other half. Donna is eager to sell her share, while Dave wants to reopen the diner. Meanwhile, Nick Adonidis, who has a 99-year lease on office space in the building, is fighting to keep his beachcombing business, Nick's Salvage, running. The story becomes complicated as various characters' interests and motivations come into play, including Donna, Dave, Nick, and Scott Rivers, who has a sublease from Nick and is struggling to bring in a log by a deadline to demonstrate his business is active.
