George Nordyke is unhappy in his marriage to Lynn, a perfect and competent wife who doesn't challenge his masculinity. He becomes infatuated with Lola May Wayne, a flirtatious woman who encourages his desires. Just as George files for divorce, an orchestra leader who had been pursuing Lynn is murdered, and she intentionally raises suspicions. George rushes to her defense, and they plan to escape to Canada on their yacht, but it's been decommissioned. Lola May reports their location to the police, leading to the crime's solution. Ultimately, George and Lynn decide to stay together.
