Gene Autry faces off against Doc Lockwood to safeguard his lucrative horse supply deal and restores justice to the corrupt town of Sadderlock, aided by Parson Brooks.

Gene Autry, a rugged cowboy, captures and sells wild horses to the Saddlerock Stagecoach Line, led by Arlie Williams. However, his rival Doc Lockwood seeks to sabotage his efforts and even shoots Gene. With the help of Panhandle Gibbs, a kind-hearted peddler, Gene recovers and prepares for a high-stakes horse race against Lockwood's team, but his own stagecoach is targeted by Lockwood's henchmen.
