Barbora Kysilkova, a young Czech artist, relocates to Oslo to launch her career as a painter. Her two valuable paintings are stolen in broad daylight, prompting her to reach out to one of the thieves, Karl-'Bertil' Nordland, a Norwegian career criminal. Despite the unusual circumstances, Barbora invites her thief to sit for a portrait, leading to an unlikely friendship and a deep bond between the two damaged individuals, united by their shared passion for art.
