In the suburban town of Orange, a man named Paul agrees to transport a highly addictive drug for a supplier, despite his friend's warnings. After a violent shootout, Paul goes on the run with the drug and cash, promising his dying friend to get rid of it. On the run, Paul meets a lonely woman named Anne and they both become addicted to the drug. As they indulge in it, they start to distrust each other, even as they fall in love. Eventually, the consequences of their addiction and the arrival of a vengeful colleague force them to confront their inner demons.
