Sylvester Cat's home is in danger of being taken away if he doesn't catch a mouse. He searches everywhere, even outside, and finds a timid mouse who reluctantly agrees to be his victim. However, the mouse soon realizes that Sylvester needs him alive and decides to take matters into his own hands, refusing to be Sylvester's pawn anymore.
