The Wave background

The Wave

A group of American high school students uncover the dark consequences of blindly following the crowd, eerily echoing the horrors of Nazi Germany, in a film inspired by a chilling true story.

In 1930s Nazi Germany, a history teacher, Burt Ross, conducts a thought-provoking experiment to illustrate the era's atmosphere. He establishes a movement called "The Wave," preaching principles of Power, Discipline, and Superiority. His students enthusiastically follow him, and soon the entire school is under "The Wave's" influence. Those who resist face intimidation or worse. As Ross becomes increasingly enthralled by his experiment, it's unclear whether it's still just a lesson or something more sinister. The situation reaches a boiling point, forcing Ross and his students to confront a harsh reality.
