Little Dorothy's world is turned upside down when a cyclone sweeps her away from the grey Kansas prairies to a vibrant new land. She meets a Scarecrow who comes to life and joins her on a journey, along the way encountering a tin woodcutter and other wondrous creatures. As they approach the Emerald City, they're treated to a dazzling parade of singing suits of armor and overweight police officers before meeting the enigmatic Wizard, who possesses a surprising talent for transforming eggs into chaotic forms.
