In Northern Ireland, shortly after the 1994 cease-fire, a romance blossoms between Hazel, a Protestant, and Malachy, a Catholic. However, their love is jeopardized by the machinations of Rohan, a militant leader and friend of Malachy's brother Padhar, who seeks to recruit Malachy to fight for their cause. Additionally, Hazel's brother Jef keeps a watchful eye on her meetings, threatening to disrupt the couple's budding relationship.
