In 1933, Japan's occupation of Korea led to the establishment of Korea's first radio station, JODK, which aired propaganda to manipulate the Korean people into becoming loyal Japanese citizens. To create a radio drama showcasing Japan's Asian Empire, the station's management selected Lloyd Park, a young man who got his job through his father's influence.
