In this pre-Code western, cowhand Bob Blake visits a homestead and becomes embroiled in a murder plot when his boss is killed. Falsely accused, Bob escapes to Mexico, where he meets a saloon girl who mistakes him for a notorious bandit. Returning to Arizona, Bob poses as the bandit to clear his name and exact revenge on those who wronged him. Along the way, he forms an unlikely partnership with a hired gun and uses his wit to outmaneuver his enemies.
