Wharf Angel

In the vibrant Barbary Coast district of San Francisco, Mother Bright's saloon serves as a hub for a group of rugged freighter stokers, captained by the charismatic Turk, who come together to revel and wreak havoc.

In the lawless Barbary Coast district of San Francisco, a stoker named Turk and his shipmates frequent the notorious saloon, Mother Bright's. When Como Murphy, a fugitive, seeks refuge, Mother Bright directs him to a hidden room where he meets Toy, a kind-hearted prostitute who hides him from the police. As they fall in love, Turk becomes smitten with Toy as well, but she only has eyes for Murphy. Unaware of the love triangle, Turk gets Murphy a job on their ship, The Coyote, and they become close friends. However, when Toy asks Turk for money to marry Murphy in Mexico, he discovers their shared love interest and turns Murphy in to collect the $1000 reward. Consumed by guilt, Turk must find a way to redeem himself.
