Dr. Leo Marvin, a self-absorbed psychotherapist, is thrilled to appear on "Good Morning America" to promote his new book. Meanwhile, Bob Wiley, a reclusive patient, becomes fixated on Leo and follows him to a lakeside cottage for a family vacation. Despite Leo's efforts to distance himself, Bob's antics disrupt the family's peace and threaten to ruin Leo's image as a perfect husband and father. As Bob's humor and charm win over Leo's family, Leo's frustration grows, and he resorts to desperate measures to get rid of Bob.
