Elmer Fudd, dressed as the demigod Siegfried, attempts to catch Bugs Bunny in a parody of classic opera. Elmer's pursuit is thwarted when he becomes distracted by the beautiful Valkyrie Brunhilde, who is actually Bugs in disguise. The two engage in a duet, but Bugs' scheme is soon exposed and Elmer's attempts to kill the wabbit ultimately fail. Despite appearing to have killed Bugs, Elmer is left feeling remorseful and carrying what he believes to be the wabbit's corpse into the distance.
