After her mother's accidental death, Ida moves in with her aunt Bodil and her three grown sons, who still live at home. Despite limited prior contact, Bodil welcomes Ida warmly, and her sons take her under their wing. However, Ida soon discovers that their affection comes with a dark side. The family is closely tied, but Bodil's sons are controlled by their mother, who runs a nightclub and lends money on the side, often with violent methods. As Ida becomes embroiled in their business, things take an unexpected turn.
