Terence Datchett, a self-proclaimed bachelor, meets French movie star Colette Marly and is immediately put off by her. He thinks she's trying to ruin his evening and decides to take matters into his own hands. Believing her claim of being bored with men is a publicity stunt, he pretends to be a real estate agent trying to sell her his country estate, all while plotting to expose her.
