Beastars background

Beastars

A reclusive wolf struggles to cope with the loss of a classmate, as a charming deer's influence and his own growing predatory nature complicate his relationships.

In a world where animals with human-like qualities live together, cultural differences between meat-eaters and plant-eaters create conflict. The story follows Legoshi, a shy gray wolf, as he attends Cherryton Academy alongside his carnivorous classmates, including his outgoing Labrador friend Jack. Legoshi works behind the scenes for the school's drama club, led by the talented red deer student Louis. But when an alpaca named Tem is brutally killed and eaten, tensions between herbivores and carnivores skyrocket. Amidst the chaos, Legoshi's complicated romance with Haru, a small rabbit, unfolds.
