His football-obsessed father Charley is determined to keep Stephen focused on the sport, but Stephen's desire to follow his idols grows stronger. After being caught in his sister's glam makeup and boots, Stephen's hopes of attending the concert seem lost. However, when he convinces his father that their mother would have let him go, Charley's anger turns to reflection. The family learns to come to terms with growing up and embracing individuality.
