A mining engineer, Jerry Cummings, owes a large diamond to two unscrupulous loan sharks, Crone and Jan Jaffin. To prevent them from taking the diamond, his daughter, Betsy, poses as a thief and tries to outsmart them, but her efforts are complicated by an artist who mistakenly believes she's a crook and the loan sharks are innocent.
