Charlie Dakin, a former gang leader, leaves prison with a plan to retrieve a million dollars in gold from an abandoned Arizona mine. However, rival gangster Max Giorga and his henchman secretly trail him. Dakin meets Raquel Chavez, and they fall in love, but Giorga forces him into a deal to salt the gold and sell it to the government. When Dakin displays the gold, the villagers believe it's a miracle from the Blue Lady, a local saint. As the gold is converted to cash, Giorgo kills the corrupt clerk, but Dakin fights back to protect the money for the people. In the end, Giorgo is killed, and Dakin surrenders to the sheriff, ready to face punishment and return to Raquel as a better man.
