Animated Stories from the Bible background

Animated Stories from the Bible

Four Jewish youths, Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, are selected by Nebuchadnezzar to study alongside the best scholars in the Babylonian palace, with the goal of becoming esteemed wise men.

Daniel, along with three other Hebrew boys, was taken to the palace of Nebuchadnezzar in Babylon to be trained as wise men. They were given new names and trained alongside Babylonian boys. Daniel and his friends demanded to be given their own food, which led to them becoming healthier than the Babylonians. They were granted great wisdom by God, with Daniel receiving the special power to interpret dreams. The King had a frightening dream that Daniel interpreted, earning him and the Hebrews a position as the King's closest advisors. When the King demanded that all worship a golden statue, Daniel's friends refused, leading to their imprisonment in a fiery oven. An angel of God protected them, and later, Daniel became the closest advisor to King Darius. When Darius issued a decree requiring all to worship his statue, Daniel refused, leading to his imprisonment in a den of lions. God protected Daniel, and Darius recognized the true and just God of the Hebrews, issuing a final decree that all worship the God of Daniel.
