In 1740, the English and French colonial forces clash over control of North America, exploiting existing tribal rivalries by enlisting the Delawares and Hurons. Chingachgook, the last Mohican, is granted the hand of the Delaware chief's daughter after saving his life, but his marriage is delayed when his betrothed is kidnapped by the Huron. Chingachgook sets out to rescue her with Deerslayer's help, but their mission is complicated by white settlers seeking to profit from Huron scalps. Ultimately, Chingachgook must unite the tribes against their common enemy, the white man.
