Circus of Books

A struggling couple, Karen and Barry Mason, took a chance on a newspaper ad in 1976, securing a job as distributors for Hustler Magazine to make ends meet.

The film tells the story of Karen and Barry Mason, who in 1976 took over a local store, Circus of Books, to distribute Hustler Magazine. Over the decade, they became the largest distributors of gay porn in the US, while leading a double life as parents in a time when LGBT culture was not accepted.
