Finnigan Jones, a depressed and semi-suicidal leaf-blower with Tourette's Syndrome, struggles with survivor's guilt after his father's untimely death at 40. As he approaches his 40th birthday, his mother pushes him to undergo various treatments to "cure" his condition, including pills, counseling, and electro-shock therapy. However, Finn's journey takes a turn when he meets Syd, a 12-year-old girl with bright clothes and green hair, who accepts him for who he is and shows him how to live. Under her guidance, Finn gains confidence and strength, becoming the man he was meant to be. But Syd has a tragic secret that Finn is unaware of.
