Eldad abandons his plans to return to Jerusalem and instead checks into a budget hotel in Tel Aviv, adopting a new identity. He befriends the receptionist, Judy, by pretending to be a man who will marry her so she can obtain a US visa. Meanwhile, Eldad assumes a second disguise, posing as a deaf-mute Arab, and becomes part of a group of workers at a construction site and later in their village.
