A woman, wrongly imprisoned for eight years, partners with a private investigator to prove her innocence and uncover the truth, only to find their quest for justice disrupted by the unexpected re-emergence of the true culprit.

June Baldwin, a woman with bipolar disorder, escapes her abusive and unfaithful husband Tony after hitting him with a statue. When the police discover Tony's body with four head wounds, June claims she's innocent but accepts an eight-year prison sentence. After serving her time, June is released and moves to her sister Claire's estate, determined to reveal the truth behind Tony's murder.
