Two friends, Matthew and Frank, accidentally become killers after preparing to play a serial killer for a new TV drama. They hide the body of their strangled friend, Andrew, inside an Ottoman just before party guests arrive. Matthew, who will be portraying a character in the series, uses the death as inspiration and motivation. However, he takes out his insecurities on his friends, including Frank, who is also struggling with his feelings for Matthew. As tensions rise, Frank's drinking escalates, and he threatens to expose Matthew. Meanwhile, Matthew's focus on Andrew's girlfriend, Liz, who rejected his advances, causes him to implode and confront his true identity.
