Larry Kelly, a high-achieving senior, is poised for a West Point appointment with his best friend Bill Davis and secretly dating Bill's sister Molly. However, their lives take a turn when Larry's estranged father, a former bootlegger, moves in next door, causing tension with the Davis family.
