When Shemp's wealthy Uncle Phineas visits, the stooges are thrilled to be bailed out of their financial woes. They convince their landlady, Mrs. McGruder, to spare them eviction, as Shemp is set to inherit a fortune. However, chaos ensues when Shemp accidentally tears off the strongman's wife's dress, leading to a wild fight that Uncle Phineas inadvertently gets caught up in.
