Mira awakens in front of a seedy motel with amnesia, searching for clues to her identity in three bound sketchbooks. Each book represents a different aspect of everyday life, possibly her own. As she delves deeper into the books, she discovers terrifying scenes of violence and chaos, including a deadly virus spreading at an office, demonic children haunting a pregnant woman, and a brother and sister on the run from a sexually abusive home. Convinced that the characters from the books are real, Mira's reality begins to crumble. She turns to the motel caretakers for help, only to discover the true evil bound in the flesh-covered books and her own destiny.
