In the town of Ramgarh, India, Sapna lives a poor life with Mausi, two grandchildren, and a reputation as a petty thief. Known to the local police, she's arrested by Inspector Kumar, but eventually released with a warning. Seeking a new path, Sapna joins a dance troupe, Deepak Theatre, and becomes a star, renaming herself Sangeeta. After achieving fame, she returns to Ramgarh for a final performance before touring Europe, leaving a lasting impact on the town and its authorities.
