In a modern African country, Julius Caesar accepts a crown amidst celebrations, but a soothsayer warns him of impending doom. Caesar's jealous ex-colleague Cassius, aided by a group of conspirators including Brutus, ultimately kills Caesar. Caesar's son Octavius and friend Mark Antony then exact revenge on the assassins.
