In a quiet Helsinki street, a Japanese woman named Sachie opens a diner specializing in rice balls, but struggles to attract customers. Her fortunes change when a Japanese tourist, Midori, walks in, and she invites her to stay with her. Soon, a middle-aged woman named Masako joins them, seeking refuge after her luggage goes missing. As the three women work together, they serve customers and form connections. Meanwhile, a gruff but skilled coffee maker appears, teaching Sachie his techniques, only to return under different circumstances. The diner's empty seats are a mystery to three neighborhood women who daily inspect the space, wondering what it takes to bring them inside. Through her journey, Sachie reveals the reasons behind her rice balls, but the question remains: why Finland?
