A laboratory gorilla, injected with an alien formula, escapes and befriends two young boys. As the formula takes effect, the gorilla grows to enormous size, wreaking havoc on the city. The boys must now find a way to protect their new friend from the Army, which seeks to eliminate the giant ape.
