The movie follows the lives of Jo' and Micah over the course of 24 hours, starting the morning after they met at a party in a San Francisco loft apartment. Despite their initial one-night stand intentions, Micah's persistence wears down Jo's defenses as they spend the day getting to know each other. Their relationship is complicated by Jo's existing live-in relationship and their differing views on being black in San Francisco.
