In a London working-class district, Raymond, his wife Val, and her brother Billy navigate a tumultuous household. The family is further complicated by Val and Billy's mother Janet and grandmother Kath. As Billy's addiction worsens, Raymond's violent behavior reaches a boiling point, ultimately leading to Billy being forced to fend for himself on the streets.
