In a small Kansas town, a naive high school senior named Beth asks her friends Julie and Scott to help her cover up the accidental killing of their hated principal. However, their plan is foiled when they're caught by Terra, a student vying for prom queen, who blackmails them into rigging the election in her favor. Beth, Julie, and Scott then enlist the help of the popular and feared student Cherry, who agrees to kill Terra in exchange for her nomination and the prom queen crown, adding to the growing complications.
