Claire Paxton, a rebellious teenager, navigates her senior year at Toronto's Arthur Meighen High School while dealing with her single mother's self-absorption and alcoholism. She spends time with two males, Jim, the front man of funk band The ElastoCitizens, and Henry, a ninth-grader she used to babysit.
