Pinocchio, now a real boy, celebrates his birthday with a cake from his creator Geppetto. However, Geppetto's plans are disrupted when Pinocchio convinces him to let him deliver a precious Jewel box to the Mayor. Along the way, Pinocchio becomes distracted by a Carnival and meets a glow worm named Willikers, who becomes real. Pinocchio then trades the Jewel box for a fake ruby and runs away to the Carnival, where he falls in love with a puppet named Twinkle.
