As Christmas approaches, Dan struggles to provide for his kids and wife, who is fed up with his lack of attention and files for divorce. After a disastrous attempt at becoming a mall Santa, Dan's luck changes when the real Kris Kringle leaves him in charge, accompanied by his elf assistant Eddie.
